Hi All:
I've been having a great time using my iPhone to supplement my Garmin GPSr. I've downloaded three apps for that purpose. First is Groundspeak's "Geocaching" which allows me to post my logs from the field among other things. The second app that I tried is "iGeocacher"by Jim Hooper. This app stores a list of caches (usually from a pocket query) onto the iPhone's internal database and thus provides all the pertinent info when away from a good phone connection. Mr. Hooper is VERY good about responding to emails regarding his product and seems to appreciate suggestions. The last (but not least) is "Geosphere" which also stores caches internally for perusal without a phone connection. It also manages to bring in your latest pocket queries directly from Groundspeak which is nice. There is a bit of a learning curve to these last two but the potential there is well worth it. I particularly like Geosphere's mapping ability when there is a phone connection. Being able to see all of the caches from a particular pocket query displayed on a satellite view with individual pins is very nice.
Has anyone else out there tried any of these or others? I'd be curious as to your opinions.
